Care for the Family is a national charity which aims to promote strong family life and to help those hurting because of family breakdown. We do this through events, resources, training and networks of befrienders.

“Your course was invaluable. I’d like to repeat it for all our new parents.”

Those wishing to run a Positive Parenting course must be licensed as PP Facilitators. You will normally be expected to have attended a minimum of four days’ training with Positive Parenting (or another approved training provider) and to submit evaluations (parents/self/observer) from parenting courses you run following the training. There is no charge for becoming a licensed facilitator. Download an Application for Facilitators Licence.
Trainees from the four-day course may also want to attend an Awareness Day covering the particular course they are planning to run, in order to familiarise themselves with the course content and method. Attendance at an Awareness Day may be sufficient for experienced facilitators who have completed a training programme fulfilling the National Occupational Standards (such as WWP or TWP) or for appropriately trained facilitators of other widely recognised parenting programmes such as Webster-Stratton or Triple P.
